Ceremonial Hall Dubí: bespoke interior with wave cladding and LED lighting

For the municipal office in Dubí, we realized complete interior elements for the newly renovated ceremonial hall. This is a space that must feel representative, dignified and at the same time pleasant. It is precisely here that some of the most important moments of life take place, and therefore the goal was to create an interior that will not only look nice, but will also have atmosphere, calm and natural elegance. The design was prepared by interior designer Blanka Běhounková, with whom we have long collaborated on private and public projects. Our task was to translate her design into reality, from the technical solution through the manufacturing of bespoke furniture and cladding to precise installation directly on site.

The main dominant feature of the entire project is a wave slatted cladding with integrated LED lighting, which gives the ceremonial hall a distinctive yet gentle character. Technically it was a very demanding element. The cladding is mounted on a three-tier frame, thanks to which it was possible to precisely resolve the shape of the waves, the depth of the structure and the concealed routing of the lighting. Along its entire length, special gel LED strips are used, which create an even and soft light effect. The result is a detail that immediately catches the eye, but does not feel disruptive. On the contrary, it softens the space, visually deepens it and gives it a festive atmosphere.

The dominant cladding itself was not the only part of the commission. For the interior we also manufactured atypical wall claddings, bespoke counters, coat-hook walls, free-standing furniture, large-format mirrors, floor skirting and other elements designed precisely for this space. A great challenge was also the cladding of structurally demanding and curved walls, where the importance of precise measurement, technical preparation and careful installation fully showed itself. In similar projects, every detail matters, the continuity of materials, light, joints, edges and the overall coordination with the architectural design.

For the realization we used quality materials from the brand EGGER, specifically the decors U732 ST9 Dust Grey, U727 ST9 Stone Grey and H3362 ST12 Baronia Oak Light. The combination of grey surfaces, light wood decor and black backing felt beneath the slatted cladding creates an elegant contrast that does not overpower the interior, but naturally complements it. The wood decor brings warmth and a natural element into the space, while the grey tones feel calm, modern and timeless. The whole interior thus gained a balanced look that suits the dignified character of a ceremonial hall.
